Koversada naturist park is one of the oldest and most famous Croatian resorts. Thousands of Europeans and people from around the world come every year to this holiday paradise to enjoy the beauty of nature and life itself.
The stunning Croatian Adriatic coast line has been among the friendliest naturist destinations since the 1930's. With about 20 official resorts and numerous picturesque beaches scattered on the coast and 1200 islands, Croatia may well be a naturist dream
Naturism begun on the small island of Koversada near the town of Vrsar back in the 1960's when the first naturists found it as a place for their camping heaven. Today this a spacious and well equipped resort immersed in a green oasis that courageously spread into the mainland and became a second home to many naturists from around the world.
The small island is linked to the mainland only by a footbridge and with no car traffic allowed, it remains a paradise for more then relaxing tent camping. With all the pine and olive trees for shade and surrounded with the crystal blue Adriatic sea...is there anything more you need?
These small "for camping tents only" islands usually gives us second thoughts about traveling around in a camper van. But luckily, this paradise offers more than enough for our kind on the mainland.
Spreading well over 100 hectares with 5km of rocky and pebble beach, this naturist camping site has 1700 camping pitches, some of them directly on the beach (or close to it) and equipped with power hook-up and water. The pine and ancient olive trees along with other Mediterranean vegetation give the coast line a relaxing and benevolent aroma, quite typical for this amazing part of the world.
The beach was awarded the Blue Flag, which is an international standard for high bathing water quality and environmental standards. Hedgehogs, squirrels and sea gulls will be your your company at all times.
Within the campsite you'll find a large variety of facilities. A few restaurants with seafood and other local gourmet specialties, snack bars, beach bars and supermarkets. And if you need to stay in touch with the rest of the world, internet and WiFi point are at your disposal.
The sanitary facilities with hot water include, shower cabins, washing cabins, toilets for children, washing and drying machines, bathroom for disabled, dog washing areas and camper service. Cold showers are found on the beach.
If you're the active type of person, various sport activities are available as well. Tennis, table tennis, beach volley, mini golf, hand ball and a soccer field are all included here. And if you wish to venture around there are bike and boat rentals on the site. Or just put on your hiking shoes and explore the peninsula of Istria...
Your little ones have their own mini-club, playground and a beach for children. And they will have lot's of fun playing with other kids from the camp site. There is also an infirmary (first-aid station) and a hair saloon if you need to get your hair in order.
A large number of apartments and villas is also available within the naturist park in case you're not the camping-lover type.
Koversada is connected to the nearby town of Vrsar with a tourist train. You can also try one of the many excursions available as this naturist camping site is a great spot to discover the charming Istrian peninsula with towns like Poreč for example. But then again you can walk or rent a boat and discover it all by yourself.
The peninsula is a popular vacation spot for many Europeans and people from other parts of the world. So if you plan to visit in the high season, booking in advance would be a smart idea. If you have a chance of visiting Istria in the spring or autumn time, it will be a much more pleasurable experience. You can take our word for that...
